The Bigger Short

I went to see the movie “The Big Short.” I admit, I felt like the kid in school who finally knew the answer to the teacher’s question. The kid who emphatically raises his hand, not being able to sit still, and wanting to just SHOUT out, “ARE YOU KIDDING ME WITH THIS?!?” The story unfolding on the big screen – with all its slap-you-in-the-face reality of what went wrong within the housing sector – is most definitely playing out NOW in the world of commercial real estate…particularly, CMBS.

If you own a property with CMBS debt, PAY ATTENTION!  Maybe see the movie twice. There will be a sequel focusing on CRE and CMBS, and just maybe they’ll call it The Bigger Short!
