Geof Mulford
Senior Vice President
A graduate of Lafayette College where he competed on the football and powerlifting teams, Geof’s perseverance has carried through his professional lifetime serving him exceedingly well. “If I can see a difficult situation through start-to-finish, I feel like it has the potential to be a win-win outcome for everyone involved,” says Geof. “And when that happens, you see new relationships established, old ones strengthened, and usually further business opportunities down the road with increasingly profitable transactions. Again—a win-win for everyone.”
As Sr. Vice-President, Geof’s primary responsibility is speaking with borrowers in need of help and working with 1st Service Solution’s Team of specialists to determine the course of action. “I’ve always considered it a strength of mine to be able to simplify complex situations, build a consensus for a plan of action, and then engage and energize those around me to work towards this common goal,” he says. Clearly he knows well of what he speaks after decades working with securitized leases for technology equipment and complex real estate transactions. “My experience helps me relate to the CMBS borrowers who don’t know who to turn to with their challenges,” Geof explains.
From the start, Geof was a natural fit for the 1st Service Solutions team. “I’ve found the environment I was looking for—a small, entrepreneurial shop that’s people-oriented and willing to do whatever it takes to help clients in need. It makes me proud to be associated with a higher purpose beyond just the contracts and numbers,” he says. “If you can provide a helpful service to people, earn a good living doing it, and enjoy the people you work with, it just doesn’t get any better than that.”
Geof enjoys pursuing fitness activities and spending time with his family. Over the years they have visited almost every national park and amusement park in the continental US along with every major league ballpark.
