Thanksgiving is right around the corner and, let’s be honest, we’re already salivating with anticipation just thinking about the feasting to come! In the U.S., we discuss in school those first settlers who came to the New World because they were seeking freedom, specifically religious freedom. They chartered a course no one had dared take before. The sheer courage and determination required is not just admirable, but remarkable! Thanks to these Pilgrims of old, the United States came to be and I, for one, am thankful.
There are many modern-day pilgrims such as Thomas Edison, the Wright Brothers, Mother Teresa, even Steve Jobs! They were originals in their “fields.” Ann Hambly is also a modern-day pilgrim! She IS the original borrower/owner advocate in the CMBS Commercial Real Estate world. As a veteran servicing CEO, Ann saw owners were lacking some freedoms in how to interpret policies, etc. She had the sheer courage and determination to charter a course where no one dared take before and created 1st Service Solutions – the original borrower/owner advocate – in 2005, literally inventing a niche!
